Children’s Book

Whatever my professional obligations, I have always viewed being a father to my three children as my top priority. I had for years sought an outlet to express the joys, challenges, and fulfillment of fatherhood, and I finally found it writing You Are My Favorite Story, a co-authorship with my longtime friend Shani King, illustrated by award-winning illustrator John Jay Cabuay.

Shani and I met and became friends as undergraduate students at Brown University and went on to be housemates in law school. We talked in those times about hoping to one day become fathers. Now, both tenured law professors and both fathers, we came together to write a children’s picture book that invites all fathers to explore the wonder of that most important job.
